Our Story

Support that builds capacity, not dependence

Sky Care Solutions was formed by a group of support workers and health professionals who kept running into the same problem: participants were being sent whoever was available, from wherever was convenient, with no continuity and no real interest in their goals. Care was being delivered as a series of tasks rather than as a relationship.

We built this organisation to work the other way around. Everything starts with what you want your week to look like, what you want to be able to do in a year, and what is genuinely getting in the way. The supports come after that conversation, not before it.

Practically, that means we keep teams small and consistent. You should recognise the person knocking on your door. It means we match on the things that actually matter to people, including language, gender preference, cultural background and shared interests. And it means we recruit locally across the suburbs we serve, so shifts get covered and travel does not eat your Core budget.

We are honest about scope too. If something is not funded in your plan, we will tell you plainly rather than quietly billing it against another line item. If we are not the right provider for what you need, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

What Drives Us

Our vision, mission and approach

Three commitments that shape how every support plan is written and every shift is delivered.

Our vision, Sky Care Solutions NDIS provider Melbourne
Where we are heading

Our Vision

To empower people with disabilities and their families across Melbourne to lead a meaningful life of their own choosing, and to experience genuine personal health and growth along the way.

Our mission, person-centred NDIS support in Melbourne
Why we exist

Our Mission

To provide innovative, high quality support services that enhance the lifestyles of people with disabilities so they can enjoy full and fulfilled lives, on their own terms.

Our approach, registered NDIS provider Melbourne
How we work

Our Approach

Listen first, plan together, review often. We measure ourselves on the goals in your plan, not on hours billed, and we adjust as your circumstances change.

Our Values

Our four core values, and what each one commits us to

Collaboration, Empowerment, Dignity and Respect have guided this organisation from the start. Values statements are easy to write and easy to ignore, so here is what ours actually commit us to doing, in terms you can hold us to. We have added two more that shape how we operate day to day.

Sky Care Solutions values in practice, NDIS support Melbourne
Person-centred NDIS care values, Sky Care Solutions Melbourne
01

Collaboration

We plan with you, not for you. Your family, carers, coordinator and therapists are all part of the same conversation, and we keep everyone informed.

02

Empowerment

We build capability so you depend on us less over time, not more. Success is you doing something yourself that you could not do last year.

03

Dignity

Personal care is delivered at your pace, in your home, on your terms. We ask before we act, every single time.

04

Respect

You choose your workers, your schedule and your goals. Our workforce reflects Melbourne, and we match on language, gender and cultural background because it changes how care feels.

05

Transparency

We quote the exact NDIS line item and rate before you sign. No hidden charges and no surprise travel billing.

06

Accountability

Rostered shifts get covered. Complaints go to a named person and get a response, not a form. You can also go straight to the NDIS Commission at any time.

Getting Started

The five steps to an NDIS plan

If you are new to the scheme, this is the whole process from start to finish. We can help at every stage, including the parts before you become our client.

1

Check that you are eligible

To access the NDIS you generally need to be under 65 when you apply, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects your everyday activities. You can check eligibility on the NDIS website or call the NDIA on 1800 800 110. If you are over 65, the Support at Home program is usually the right pathway instead.

2

Think about the support you need

Before your planning meeting, write down what a good week looks like, where you currently need help, and what you want to be able to do in twelve months. Bring reports from your GP, specialists or therapists. The clearer your goals are, the better your plan will be funded. This preparation matters more than almost anything else in the process.

3

Attend your planning meeting

You will meet an NDIA planner or a Local Area Coordinator who turns your goals into a funded plan across Core, Capacity Building and Capital budgets. You can bring a family member, advocate or support person. We are happy to sit in and help you explain what supports you need, even before you become a Sky Care Solutions client.

4

Put your plan into action

Once your plan is approved, you choose your providers and sign service agreements. This is where we come in. We will walk through your plan line by line, explain what each budget actually covers, match you with support workers and agree a schedule. Most standard supports can start within one to two weeks.

5

Live your life, and review as you go

Your plan is reviewed at least every twelve months, and you can request a change sooner if your circumstances shift. We track progress against your goals throughout so that when the review comes around there is real evidence behind any request for more or different funding.

Not sure which stage you are at? Call 03 7047 9499 and we will talk it through, whether or not you end up choosing us.

Why Sky Care

What makes us different from the big national providers

  • Registered, not just claiming to be

Provider number 4050172644, independently audited against the NDIS Practice Standards. Registration means NDIA-managed participants can use us, not only plan-managed and self-managed ones.

  • One state, not a national call centre

We operate across Melbourne only. When you ring, you speak to someone who knows the suburb you live in and the workers who cover it.

  • Consistent, matched support workers

A small familiar team rather than a rotating roster. Matched on language, gender preference, cultural background and interests.

  • Every worker screened and qualified

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed, First Aid and CPR current, and role-appropriate qualifications.

  • Both schemes under one roof

We deliver NDIS supports and aged care under Support at Home, so if your situation changes you do not have to start again with a new provider.

  • Straight answers about funding

We will tell you what your plan does and does not cover before you commit, including when the honest answer is that you need something we do not provide.

    FAQs

Questions people ask before choosing us

Is Sky Care Solutions a registered NDIS provider?

Yes. Skycare Solutions Pty Ltd is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission under provider number 4050172644, and we are approved across 10 NDIS registration groups. You can verify this yourself on the NDIS Commission public register. Registration means we are independently audited against the NDIS Practice Standards and can support participants whose plans are NDIA-managed.

Which areas of Melbourne do you cover?

We deliver supports across greater Melbourne, including the south-east corridor around Narre Warren, Dandenong and Pakenham, the eastern suburbs, the northern growth areas, the inner city and the western suburbs. Our head office is at Level 2, 66 Victor Crescent, Narre Warren VIC 3805. If your suburb is not listed on our site, call 03 7047 9499 and we will confirm availability honestly rather than overpromising.

What types of NDIS plan management do you accept?

All three. Because we are a registered provider, we can work with NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participants as well as plan-managed and self-managed participants. Unregistered providers can only accept the latter two. If you are not sure how your plan is managed, check the front page of your plan document or ask us and we will help you work it out.

How much do your services cost?

If a support is funded in your NDIS plan, you generally pay nothing out of pocket. Every registered provider must charge within the price limits published in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, which the NDIA updates each 1 July. We will tell you the exact line item and rate for any service before you sign a service agreement. See our NDIS Price Guide for current figures.

Can I choose my own support worker?

Yes, and we actively encourage it. Choice and control is a core NDIS principle. We match workers based on your preferences around language, gender, cultural background, experience and interests, and you meet them before regular supports begin. If a match is not working, tell us and we will change it without needing a reason or an argument.

    How quickly can supports start?

For most standard supports such as personal care, domestic assistance, community access and transport, we can usually begin within one to two weeks of your first enquiry. Supported Independent Living and high-intensity supports typically take two to four weeks because they require additional planning, staff training and rostering. If your situation is urgent, say so when you call and we will do what we can.

Can I switch to Sky Care Solutions from another provider?

Yes. You can change providers at any time and you do not need your current provider's permission. Check the notice period in your existing service agreement, commonly 14 to 28 days. We will prepare a new service agreement and coordinate the handover so there is no gap in your supports. Many of our participants came to us this way.

Do you support older people and aged care clients as well?

Yes. Alongside NDIS supports we deliver aged care services under the Support at Home program, which replaced Home Care Packages in November 2025. If you entered the NDIS before turning 65, your NDIS plan continues regardless of age. If your needs relate to ageing rather than disability and you are over 65, Support at Home is usually the right pathway. See our Support at Home page.

What qualifications do your support workers hold?

Every worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, has completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, and holds current First Aid and CPR certification. Beyond that, qualifications are matched to the role: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Ageing for support workers, AHPRA registration for nurses and allied health professionals, and specific credentials for behaviour support practitioners. We also provide ongoing training in safeguarding and person-centred practice.

How do I make a complaint if something goes wrong?

Call us on 03 7047 9499 or email [email protected] and your complaint goes to a named person who will respond to you directly. You can also raise concerns with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any time on 1800 035 544, entirely independently of us. We would always rather hear about a problem early than have you quietly leave.

Let's talk about what you actually need

Book a free, no-obligation consultation. We will review your NDIS plan, explain what your funding covers in plain language, and match you with support workers near you. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you that too.
